Brief Introduction of Centrifugal Pump

1.     Centrifugal Pump Basically used to Transfer Liquids from place to another place with pressure.
2.     Centrifugal Pump used because Liquid has only gravitational movement from an elevation to lower elevation, it can not move from lower elevation to higher elevation.
3.     This is most common type of pump which used in Commercial as well as residential sector.
4.      In Centrifugal pump electric energy convert in to kinetic energy and it will generate pressure in to the line to displace the fluid.
5.     Centrifugal pump have various components which are assembled in pump and every component have their own important in pump. Following are the mentioned part.
·        Impeller: -
This is main part of pump and their function is to increasing pressure of input fluid through its kinetic energy.
·        Casing: -
The main function of casing is to guide input fluid to come out from pump.
·        Shaft: -
The main function of pump shaft is to transfer motor power to impeller kinetic energy.
·        Bearing Housing: -
Bearing housing main function is to give support and alignment to shaft and impeller during rotation.
·        Sealing Arrangement: -
Sealing arrangement comes in either packing type or Mechanical Seal type and it will help to prevent leakage of transferred fluid form pump body to atmosphere.

6.     If we are saying that Manufacturing of Centrifugal Pump is very simple as well as user friendly then it could not be wrong.

7.     Sometime pump will fail to give performance due to some negligence like don’t put pump in maintenance work after long working. Lack of lubrication, wrong selection of pump, faulty design, poor workmanship, poor maintenance etc.
